Tiangong 1 (Heavenly Palace)

China is the 3rd country that is able to send human in space on their own next to the US and Russia. Their technological expertise in the realm of astronomical engineering was proven to be at par with these other two countries when they successfully launch their own space station called Tiangong 1 (Heavenly Palace) on September 2011 and on November 2011 they were able to launch their second unmanned vehicle the Shenzhou 8 making it the first docking made by China in history.  Their manned flight which was launched on June 16, 2012 was the first mission to be able to docked personnel in their Tiangong 1 space station. It doesn’t just boast to be the first manned flight to the space station but it also has the first woman taikonaut (Chinese astronaut) which is Liu Yang. They were able to complete the manned docking mission to Tiangong and will return back home after 13 days in the space station. Liu Yang is accompanied by Liu Wang and Jing Haipeng.

China’s main goal is to create a large and working manned space station in the year 2020. They are aiming to reach the moon soon and land people on the moon just like the two other country capable of their own space flight.
